jeremy zwiefel

Influenced by Zen Buddhism, existential philosophy, human psychology and quantum physics, Jeremy's work springs from meditations on the tension between the created world of the mind and the constantly changing objective world.

Jeremy recently received his MFA in Artisanry from the University of Massachusetts, Dartmouth, and has a BA in art from Luther College, in Decorah, Iowa.  Upon returning to Olympia in 2007, Jeremy picked up his hammer again to work for the Artisans Group as a lead carpenter.

'Gordian's Knot', Jeremy's most recent installation, is on view at the Washington Center for the Performing Arts in Olympia through June 2009.
