We are excited to share this recently completed mixed-use building, which houses our new Remodeling Design Center as well as our Corporate Offices. The building also provides 2200 square feet of urban residential living space, in the form of three upscale apartments.

As you tour the building, you may notice a blending of old and new. The original single story home that has occupied this site since the early 1930’s is still present in many ways. Although the floor plan in the commercial space is very similar to the original, the interior of the building was gutted to the studs to update all of plumbing and electrical systems. The original oak and fir flooring that was saved has been carefully replicated in areas that received new wood flooring. The coved ceilings that once adorned the home also were not salvageable, but new coves that mimic the home's early plasterwork have been installed. Traditional millwork gives the look of being original, but is made of advanced materials, which offer durability and easy maintenance.

The styling of the building mingles early 1900’s design features with a modern aesthetic and an artistic flair. The kitchens and artist painted floors in the newly created second story apartments, hand-shaped posts at the main entry, and etched glass and hand-hammered copper work near the fireplace are examples of The Artisans Group’s willingness to offer something out of the ordinary.
